Lophams' Village Hall Lottery

Your chance to support your Village Hall, and have a bit of fun too.

Support your Village Hall

The Lophams' Village Hall Management Committee runs a monthly lottery to help fund improvements to the hall and its facilities. The draw takes place at the monthly Farmers' Market, with three cash prizes each month.

How it works

  • £5.00 monthly subscription for 5 chances, or multiples thereof (maximum 100 entries)
  • Minimum entry age: 18
  • 1st prize: 40% of that month's stake money
  • 2 runner-up prizes: 10% of that month's stake money each
  • 5% reserved for an annual extra draw (entries held 6+ months continuously)
  • Remaining 35% goes towards Village Hall improvement projects

What your support has achieved

Over the last ten years, more than £37,000 has been distributed in prize money and over £19,000 contributed to the Village Hall Development Fund — including new outdoor gym and children's play equipment, and a new airtight bin store.

Proceeds are used entirely to maintain the fabric of the hall for the benefit of local people.

The latest draw

The lottery is drawn each month at the Farmers' Market and the result is posted here shortly afterwards. There is one winner, who receives 40% of that month's stake money, and two runners-up, who each receive 10% — so the prize amounts change from draw to draw.
