DOG FOULING AT THE PLAYING FIELD
SADLY THIS IS BECOMING A PROBLEM AND WILL RESULT IN A BAN FROM DOG WALKERS AT THE PLAYING FIELD IF IT CONTINUES.
WE ARE IN DISCUSSIONS REGARDING INSTALLING CAMERAS AT THE FIELD AS DOG FOULING IS AN OFFENCE.
WE HAVE PROVIDED A DOG POO BIN FOR YOUR USE. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BRING A POOP BAG,
PICK IT UP AND PUT IN THE BIN.
SADLY IT IS ONLY A FEW PEOPLE WHO WILL SPOIL IT FOR THE MAJORITY OF CONSIDERATE DOG WALKERS.
WE ARE TRYING TO PROVIDE BETTER FACILITIES AT THE FIELD FOR CHILDREN AND CONTINUOUS DOG FOULING WILL HAMPER THIS,
ESPECIALLY WHEN DOG EXCREMENT HAS BEEN FOUND UNDER THE GYM EQUIPMENT.
PLEASE LOOK AFTER YOUR FIELD AS IT IS AN EXCELLENT ASSET TO THE TWO VILLAGES.

COMMUNITY OUTDOOR FITNESS EQUIPMENT
AS MOST PEOPLE WILL HAVE HEARD BY NOW, THE VILLAGE HALL AND PLAYING FIELD COMMITTEE WERE SUCCESSFUL WITH THEIR APPLICATION TO BRECKLAND COUNCIL FOR MATCH FUNDING FOR THE ABOVE PROJECT. WE WERE THRILLED WHEN WE HEARD THE NEWS THAT NORFOLK COMMUNITY FOUNDATION HAD AWARDED FUNDING TO US AND HOPE THIS IS JUST THE START OF ADDING AND IMPROVING SPORTS/RECREATION FACILITIES AT THE PLAYING FIELD.
WE ARE NOW PLEASED TO SAY THE EQUIPMENT HAS BEEN INSTALLED AND IS READY FOR USE ON THE PLAYING FIELD AT THE VILLAGE HALL.

WE HOPE YOU WILL COME ALONG AND ENOY USING THE EQUIPMENT WHENEVER YOU WOULD LIKE TO.
THERE IS ACCESS AT ALL TIMES.

Lophams' Village Hall Lottery
JANUARY Lottery Winners:
1st Prize, £200 - M BIRCHALL
2nd Prizes, £50 - R BASSETT and L PERRY
The October 2018 draw marked the close of the 9th year of the Lophams' Village Hall lottery!
During the last nine years, over £30,000 has been distributed in prize money and over £16,000 has been contributed to the Village Hall Development Fund. Sincere thanks from the hall management committee to all those who have participated, your support has allowed us to make important improvements to the building and its surroundings, some of which are listed below. Please remember that our principal purpose is to maintain the fabric of the hall as an attractive venue for the use and benefit of local people and that the proceeds from the Village Hall Lottery are designated entirely for this. If you're not in the lottery but would like to join, please ring 01379 688183, supply your contact details and you will be notified as soon as a vacancy arises.
Why not hire the hall for an event of your own? It's there for you to use! Contact details and hire rates are published on this site.
The Next Draw will be on SATURDAY 23 FEBRUARY 2019 at the Farmers' Market.
To see a list of previous winners, click on 'Lottery News' at the top left of this page and scroll down.
Continued improvements to the Village Hall include completing the kitchen area; new tiled walls, new electrical equipment, humidifyer, with all cupboard doors having been replaced and a new oven installed; the car park will hopefully be resurfaced this year; facilities for the less able have been relocated to improve access (thanks to Paul Sturman, builders); the main gates have been moved to encourage more use of the field when the hall is not open; a dog bin and new litter bin have been put in place. Redecoration of the inside of the hall has been completed. A new clean, airtight container has been placed in the carpark and the old one removed. Importantly the adult gym equipment and childrens play equipment are now installed on the field and being well used. Thank you all for your support which has allowed us to get these things done, however, there is always further work required and your on-going and greatly valued participation is still needed so, if you entered for six months, you may need to renew your entry by 14th February to stay in with a chance and to continue to help the Village Hall. Contact Jayne Conquest 01379 688183; Thanks again everyone!
Hiring the Hall
To hire the hall, please telephone Mrs. J. Vere on 01379 687679. To view current hiring rates, click here. Hiring rates have been held since October 1st 2011. In spite of rising costs, especially electricity, it was decided at the last meeting not to increase them for a further 12 months unless conditions change dramatically.
If you wish to publicise your Lophams' Village Hall event on this site, click on 'Contact Us' for details; it's free!

The hall is on Church Road, between North Lopham and South Lopham.
For Sat Navs, the hall doesn't have a post code, IP22 2LP or IP22 2LN will get you close but are not specific to the hall and could be misleading. A local map from the link above is advised.
